Fella's;

Patience is rewarded!  I found it, just when I thought there was no chance.  Beretta owns Franchi & had stopped production of all the old Franchi O/U's to bring out a new line of guns.  I had scoped the new ones out on the Franchi website and did not see what I wanted.  Since I knew that production had ceased, and the gun I wanted wasn't a mainstream gun in the first place, I thought that I maybe would find it someday down the road, used & possibly abused.

However, I stopped in at one of the local emporiums this evening after work, lo and behold, there it was!  A new Franchi Veloce 20 guage O/U with an English straight stock.  A request to the salesman produced a tape in short order, and the barrels were measured.  Yup, 26" barrels too.  It's gonna pop me full retail, but it's what I want, so I'll gulp & pay the ante.

It's on lay-away, 10% down & 10% a month, so I'll have to practice patience yet longer.  But I will redeem it before bird season.

Now then, anybody want to buy a nice project B.S.A motorcycle?

I've looked at those. They point nicely.

Hey CB, would that B.S.A happen to be a 650 Lightning by any chance?

Since the goddam font size would not return to #1 & the bold wouldn't shut off, I just posted it & killed the obstinate bastard.  Now then.

No it's an approximate 1958, because BSA didn't accuratly serialize the Bantams, and a 175cc.  So, 1958 (ish) 175cc BSA Bantam.  Appraised at $750.00 where is as is.  Make me a decent offer.

Fella's;

I've now got the gun.  Sooner, or more probably later, I'll get a new pan head for my tripod & take some pictures.  Then I'll have to re-learn how to post 'em.
