If so, I'll sure miss that bunch in the cast section:( Learned a heck of a lot from them. Anybody from Shooters?,how's about we get together here at BSB or wherever and see if we can't get together again...Gary D.

Gary--

I'm from Shooters, and there were a great bunch at the Cast Bullet site.  Dunno what's up with Shooters, but I do hope that the group migrates here.  Great info from some truly knowledgable and friendly folks.  The Nevada Cast Bullet Shoots in Winnemucca were a real fine time, too--I would REALLY be disappointed to see that bunch get cast to the winds.

I came from shooters during the last big flap. I liked it here, and didn't go back very often.

Hi Deputy Al and Triggerguard, I've seen your posts over at shooters before, glad to see you here. Don't have a clue where to go to roundup the other fellas.
On the plus side, my neighbor is getting out of the casting and reloading business so I'll be over to his place on Sunday inventoring and drooling. Not sure what all he has but he has a bunch of moulds and buckets of lead. I'll let you know what's available after I get through:)...Gary D.

Do any of you know if "jump trap" was still hanging out at the Shooters CB section? I knew him way back to the "Coffee Shop" days. He use to be quite humorous there and was very popular. Some of the "self proclaimed resident experts" heckled him there before it went down as well as some of the recent same types on Shooters' Reloading Section. Shooters was long over due for its shutdown. It is amazing how slowly it deteriorated the way it did - just like the once highly popular "Coffee Shop". I still have sites where the two stages of the coffee shop had gone - I never post there either. I believe certain people that were banned at both sites went back to intentionally make every effort to see those sites fail by ridiculing and harassing and forming little close knit cliques. I sure hope to not see it happen at BSB.

Hi Fuzzy, I've seen your posts before too. Good luck with your neighbor's stuff.
One of the best deals I made was buying a bunch of stuff from
a client who's husband went into a nursing home. She had already sold his five
reloading presses, probably for 10 cents on the dollar. I ended up with a pickup
bed and back seat filled with ammo, clay pigeons, tools, and about 500 pounds of ingotted
lead, all very thoughtfully stamped as to the alloy. Most were WW, but about 25
pounds was 50/50 solder.

Another Shooters.com Cast alumni.  Didn't post much, usually just lurked.  Gained SOOOO much great information from the folks there.

Finally bought an 1895 Chilean Mauser and 7mm mould to get in on the action.  Last week I mailed in my FFL 03 C&R License application.  I know there are some Mausers out there that need to reside at my house.

I have been casting for years (almost all handgun), but out of it the last several as I endured residence in the Central Coast area of the PDRK.  Leaving next year for Idaho.

If anyone finds that most of the Shooters/Cast group has migrated to another site, please post that information.  Like Deputy Al, I would hate to see that bunch broken up.

Regards,

WE

I checked,

I think they are dead - all their 800's are gone!, and the registry in the name server data base has been pulled.  Someone may be able to get the board pages and move the board, but all vertical apparently hasn't paid the bills for the "name space."

To me, that means it's Dead.

Most of them landed at Accurate Reloading. Some are posting on several boards. They will all find each other as we all were posting on several boards.   Orygun

Hello, all. There is a wealth if information from the Cast Bullets section of Shooters at www.castpics.com

The Cast Bullets bunch at Shooters didn't demonstrate the pompous attitude or hyper-critical commentary that seemed to be a part of some of the Shooters' venues. I hope a similar tone is taken by the posters here. There is a lot of good info out there, and drivel from twisted personalities will cause good people to depart.

LostCajun's archive from shooters still works.

Might not be a bad idea to post on Waksupi's rally point what board(s) you are posting on now.
