I was looking in my truck toolbox the other day, taking inventory, and was thinking about not having some of mygear with me, whether traveling or hunting with the truck close by. Here's my list, what do you fellows carry?
Tool Box contents:
2 ton hydraulic jack, wheel blocks, tire tool, jumper cables, basic tool kit. Quart of oil, gallon of coolant, gallon of water, duct tape, electrical tape, three flares. Two tarps, 100 feet of 5/8 inch nylon rope, 50 feet of paracord, 50 feet of 1/4 inch nylon cord.
Folding shovel, hand axe, spare knife.
94 Winchester in .30/30, 20 rounds of ammunition.
Two 24 oz canteens for drinking water.
Wool blanket, two mylar blankets, two rain ponchos, work gloves.
Matches, toilet paper, candles, iunsect repellant, first aid kit.
Spotlight, air compressor, nylon tow strap, 1/4 inch steel tow cable, 2 ton come-a-long, several feet of fence wire.
Instant soap and water, can opener, aluminum foil, plastic cups, some canned food.
Other small odds and ends.
I used almost everything at one time or another. Almost don't consider it survivak gear. I could survive without most of it, but it makes the difference between being damned uncomfortable to just inconvienient.
