Muznz;

I've got the same gun, imported into the U.S. as a Charles Daly.   Mine wears a Bushnell Legend 5-15X A/O mil-dot scope.

When I got mine, it had the stock sealed in some sort of poly-goo that appeared to be thicker than snot & did an excellent job of obscuring the wood underneath.  I used rottenstone in linseed oil to rub it down from a gloss finish to a dull satin & let the grain show.  The wood  turned out to be just short of exhibition, showing a very nice fiddleback on both sides of the stock.

We aren't allowed cans without jumping through hoops, paying exhorbitant fees to the government, and having a Fed live in your back pocket for the rest of your life.
