   OK I now have two scopes both Burris 4.5X14one inch X 42.
Currently the 8 has the Burris Droptine Riflescope with Ballistic Plex Reticle, 4.5-14x 42mm.

I got new Burris Rings with inserts to correct the alignment problem on my 6.

I now have Burris Optics Fullfield E1 Riflescope 4.5-14x42mm also. A little up grade.
BUT.
When I have the rings off the 6 I may put the Drop tine on the 6mm rem and use the new on on the 8mm RM.

The Full field has this recital.
And is "Side" adjust Parallax"

The Droptine has this.

You have to turn the front Bell to adjust the Parallax.

HUMMM
I will have to practice with the new sight picture.

Do you think on a black bear the dots will disappear on its fur?

I'm all mixed up don't know which way I want to go.

	Yep. black bear make the x-hairs disappear/ Gave a class on B bear hunting, no one understood how x-hairs disappeared. one guy scored the next day, and was amazed that what I told him happened. Edited by BEAR - 28 December 2021 at 07:17

	Well I can't attest to a black, black bear but on a very black background the crosshairs turn brown and are very visible. We spent three hours swapping scopes around today. -25* , to cold to go calling or shooting. I wanted to put on the new Burris on the rem 700, 8mmRM. SO I took off the droptine and put it on my 6mmRem, So I took off the 4x12 Redfield off and put it on the boys 6.5 Grendel. He had a nice scope on it but way more then one wants on a 300 yard gun. Going on to the 8 was fairly simple swap and replace same as the Boys Grendel. The six not so much. That's the one with the base holes that are drilled off center. I had a Hodge podge of rings and windage adjustment rings. I ordered some Burris signature rings with inserts for windage or elevation. The most adjustment was 20 I got two sets, so I could put + 20 0n the front and - 20 on the back. I think that is 40 on the movement of the scope sideways. I have a 1" rod I put in the rings to see how far it moves to the center of the bore. WAY closer then to start with I wish I could have gotten 25's. We bore sighted it and it is close to the end of the adjustment. When we started the center of the rod and the center of the bore was about a half inch off in 26". I hope it's enough, the cobbled up rings I had worked but it would move sometimes and once it broke when I was hunting. This is a much better system. Now we need some range work to get every thing sighted in again. I have some "Test rounds for my T/C 22/250 and 62 gr varmageddon's. Reloader 26 we got VERY nice groups we are testing for length. I also want to test them at 300 yards to see if there going to stabilize out that far, there a little big for my twist according to the books. I have 5 groups of 8mm's and sierra 220s to test for length also. Reloader 26 has no load info for either, we are using a "Quick load", load as a starting point. I have not magnetospeed the 22 but the 8's I'm getting 3100 fps with like only 15 fps variation. That's a 220 gr bullet, DANG fast, and under an inch at 100 and under 5" at 500 yards, hopping the length will help that out.

	It sounds like you have winning combinations for all of them. Dang, did I read that right? 3100 fps with a 220 grain bullet? that should knock a black bear off its feet. I have noticed that with Leupold scopes too. The crosshairs are sorta a brown/gold color that shows up pretty good against a black background. Wing master
	I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

It's not even the top load and there is still room for more reloader 26, NO signs of presser easy bolt lift. It's like 300 fps OVER anything in the books, scary to prosed any farther.

	I'm having the same results using Reloader 26 in my 6.5X55. I can get over 3000 fps without signs of pressure. I did back it off a little because it is more accurate at slower speeds. I have the same problem with published load data for Reloader 26. I called Alliant and Sierra and they didn't have any data. I ended up using Reloader 22 data and started low and worked up from there. Wing master
