The first time I used the snow contraption in deep snow. Not 100% there yet.
We were on a forest road that was all rutted up and 2 feet of snow. With out the boat like front and skis like a snowmobile the dog has to plow deep to run.
The track only has 3/8 cleats to drive through the snow not big rubber paddles like new one have.
I think I'll have to address that at some point.
But I think what I need to do first is maybe slow it down again. With the new clutch system, it goes like hell again. On the rutted road I cant keep it under control and it's all over, no way to get speed up and use the HP. When its pushing snow over the track and pulling my fat butt in a big sled it "bogs" down at slower rpms. Maybe a winter set up and a summer set up? Maybe some kind of two speed thing??? I don't know yet, more fun making something.
On, kind of flat terrain and pack/drifted snow it will do close to 25 mph, with me and 3 trees in the sled, WAY to fast.Shocked

A work in progress. It might be hard and or expensive to do but some kind of two speed transmission would be cool. Maybe something like a Mitchell overdrive that people put on model A's to make them more highway friendly.
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
