Now she is thinking Varmints/ coyotes.
She has a great little Howa mini 6.5 grendle that shoots great, but is lacking a little in the range category. We have shot it with 92-grain( I think) bullets, and it did a good job. But she shoots the Ruger 7 Mauser GREAT. What I'm thinking is a Speer 110 TNT, there are 34 cents a piece. Or a Sierra 100 gr, and 41 cents each. Price is an issue with high-volume bullets. Hammer bullets are $1.07 each. I haven't looked closely, but I think a load around 3000 fps is doable. It should make a great varmint unit, I think. Comments, good or bad, I'm still looking.

Seems tto me that with the 7x57 for varmint bullet construction isn't important. Get what shoots most accurate. 100 gr .284 bullet will destroy any 'ote.

That's a good choice too. At 39 cents it comes under the umbrella for a "High volume" bullet. and good speed.

I buy a lot of bullets from Precision Reloading. It depends on shipping but the Hornadys are just over 37 cents a piece from them.
