We now have walk-in tags, also can get them on line.  Bro' talked me into going to LGS for walk-in as it saves a $3 internet fee.  so I did it.

Got the tag and 'glanced' at the used rifles.

Savage 340 in 30-30 like new with checkering and Weaver mount and no-name scope 4x32.

Gave them $340 and walked it home.

Now I don't need a 30-30 nor a 340 rifle.

But I have 3 grand daughters 12,12, 10 years old...if one wants to hunt g'pap has a rifle for her.

AINT THAT THE WAY?
The wife HAD to go to the candle shop in the village. I said I would drive her. There is nothing at Scheels I wanted or needed. RIGHT. $100 bucks later I walk down to get her, she had a small bag with a free candle and some scents for a smellgood thing in the bathroom. $8.Confused
An extra gun is never a bad thing bear.

I think a 30-30 is about perfect for a young shooter.

I'm thinking a 340 should be more accurate than a lever gun just because its a bolt action?
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
