WOW lizard did some outstanding permission gathering. Even though he lives on the left side of Montana he procured like 5 large tracts of land covered with Prairie dogs. we were allowed to use his side by side. We had shooting tables and every thing. WE covered the area first, to get in to the "BEST" spot. The weather took a brake and it was in the high 70's and very light breeze, just enough to keep the bugs away and keep lizard guessing windage with his 17hmr. He used it for a long time till the 125 yard dogs where all shot. Then the 204 came out, I shot my 22/250 all day. Using the rimfire his kill per shot numbers was held down. all things said we finished up with 200 conformed kills.
I had a very good day of shooting with an 80% kill day.
Hats off to lizards efforts, ThanksBig smile
I had to leave but he stayed another day and later texted me he got another 100. DANG what a hunt...

Well, Lizard went to the new property and shot another 100 and left at 2:00. It was the best shooting I have seen in many years. I think it was because no one is shooting them this time of year, and has not been for months. Spring is great for gophers when the grass is short. But P dogs keep their towns mowed to the dirt.Big smile

Days like that don't come along very often. I had one about 10 years ago.
Congratulations.
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

Hey D......I did "hear" some of that action with you and Lizard....via his cell phone.....was neat to be able to get in on the action from here at home via modern tech. Certainly was a very good outing. Yup, using the SxS is a real game changer for these old legs!Wink
