My wife and I went out exploring to see what roads are drive abal or soon will be. As you can see we won't be launching the boat for a while.Confused
I was looking for new P dog towns, the last few years has shown a huge migration and new towns all over. I found three in aur normal 4 county hunting areas.
And we checked out some of the older towns, they all came through the winter fins and look bigger.

I recognize a few of those places.  avoid gumbo!

Nice to see the standing ones, don't need to worry about bullet drop.

The year my son and I hunted with you at Montague, he used a 17HMR.  did good out to about135 yds, little wind that day.

The snow is looking good...mostly gone.

I'm surprised to see the ice is off the river. Is it usually gone this early?

This upper part it is normal. THE boat ramps we have to push ice out often to get the boat in. The big walleye will be up here in a week or so to spawn. If you go down stream 50 miles it will be still frozen I bet.

The Ohio River near me is still ice crusted over, wide river and 30 foot deep.  But no snow on the ground.

We've had several days close to 60*. Last night we got a little snow and a chance of more today. I don't think it's supposed to amount to much.

The last week or so was enough to get me through the rest of winter.
