The last cupule weeks We have been whacking the coyotes.
This time of year you have to be patient.
30 minutes Minimum.
At time I go an hour depending what's going on.
But this time of year you can do that, when it's-20* I have a hard time waiting 15 minutes. Even waiting that long many of my set ended up with the coyote coming in to view AFTER I have picked everything up and packed it away for the walk back to the truck.CryCryCryCry
BUT when they come in there normally committed.
Last week after my B-I-L missing two on two sets, he connected on this one his first, at 49 yards, we should have had a shotgun.
Yesterday It was my turn. We had 3 come in at 42 minutes. Right in to me. The disappeared under a little hump. I told my self not to get greedy and take the first on that topped the hump.  I did not know the "hump" was only 75 yards in front of me
So when she was Right in front of me and coming in Hot I thought Why did I not have my 45 or 10mm, they were both in the truck. DANG.
At 50 yards I got her to stop. I shot hit Just behind the shoulder. At that range my 22/250 and 62 gr bullets make a mess coming out It disemboweled her on the spot. But she was dead, where the other 2 went I had no idea. But I kept the call running KIKI and pup scream's and dang is one did not show up to watch us clean up. The B-I-L took a shot, the dog was 220 yards and just sitting there, he missed.
Fund day.

"feed the buzzards?"
We don't have many buzzards.
Just control help out the P dogs, birds and deer and farmers livestock.
The excitement of the hunt.

I have to have something to use all my ammo on.Clap

Way to go D.

A couple less fawn killers is always a good thing.
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
