What are the best bag's / ways to take care of meat?  cheese cloth sounds pretty whimpy.  What are the tricks of the trade?

The regular game bags are ok if you are packing on a horse on panniers,. I have been making bags out of old discarded sheets. They are a little heftier and work well. Someone recently on here suggested going to Good Will and buying them there. I know one group that goes to the auto store, and buys cheese cloth and wraps it around several times. Fabric shops also carry it in yard wide bolts

I use sheets I buy at the thrift store. My wife showed me how to get the sewing machine to work. Once you do the thread it's like a band saw in reverse since it sticks things together. I made four more the other day in 20 minutes. I use a half a flat sheet per bag. I think they are twin size but that's just a guess.
