It is with a heavy heart and more than one tear in my eye that I must ask that everyone pray for my friend and the man here called "Max".He suffered a stroke yesterday and is struggling.He can use your prayers and thoughts.I have grown fond of that man over time ,here and at the HB and conversed with him often both here and privately.I will try to give an update as soon as I speak with his immediate family.I know he really enjoyed talking with you fellas and had a great time here in some of the forums.His prEsence here will be missed beyond words..Thank you for your prayers..

I too count him as a friend. All correspondance I've had with him as always been a delight and he's been quite generous with helping me out with different ideas. I hope all turns out as it may please him. He's faced the latter years of his life the way we all should IMO, however I won't count him out just yet. If it is his time then I will miss his humor and kind words a great deal.

Max is my friend too. Tell his mis's that I am pulling for him and if she needs anything, shr has no farther than to look fo r me. In this day, we can't afford to lose another hero that gave what he had at the time to make me a comfy place to live. MAX, it's me, Kingpin. I haven`t been able to get in touch with his family yet guys.I imagine that the family is at the hospital with him.I will convey everyones well wishes as soon as I can make contact with them.Marcus, yes sir ,this is our very own MaxP/Max.KP. you are right,this man fought the worst war in human history and never cares to remind anyone of it.He is truly a man to be like. Wow.......
Not sure what to say, he's a guy that's easy to get a long with and a hell of a sense of humor. I hope he doesn't change much WHEN he recovers. Timber, is there any way you can find his hospital info for me?? Be sure to get the room number, I'd like to send a gift, maybe an arrangement from the board would be a good idea also. |

I just spoke with his son in law..Fellas ..He says that cards are not necessary and that if you want to do something ,Take a kid out and do something nice for them.Take em shooting or fishing or whatever.That is what Max would want .He is still in bad shape fellas.I have asked that if this goes bad that the family will let us know.Don`t count him out though and pray.He is a tough ole fella and I know he`s fighting....................... BK..I will try to get it for you but it will have to be tomorrow bud.I do not want to disturb his family right now.His son in law uttered Max`s wishes a minute ago, but I will try bud.. Gene |

Damn, I hate when bad things happen to good people. And as we all know, Max is a top notch guy. Funny as all get -out he was sharper than people half his age. I'll be outta town next week guys but I'll try and keep up with things. Prayers go out to his family. Hang in there tough guy, we still got some talking to do! |
