Hey guys, do you have any experience with Steiner binoculars? I have been looking at the 8x30 Marine or maybe the 7x50 Marine, which is much more expensive. I love the look of the Marine, and it is used by the US military, which means it has to be tough.

On another note, do you guys know what kind of optics the marines put on their M40A1 Sniper Rifle? what about the M82A1?

steiners haven't been all that popular because their quality wasn't as good for the money as was avilable elsewhere. i have heard that they have re-tooled and are in the process of correcting this, but do not know for sure. i looked through some 9x40 (bighorn? don't remember) a couple of weeks ago... they looked very much like my nikons, which isn't all bad, except the nikons are 30-40% less money.
