I have friends (rednecks mostly) that say shootin skills is inherited.  I don't think there inherited but you learn them by bein behind the gun that's fer sure.  I don't think we all share the same definition of "percision" shootin anyway.  Fer me it's simply hittin what your shootin at, knowin the gun, and knowin when to shoot and when not to by knowin the critter yer huntin.  Safetys a big factor to knowin a gun but theres a certain set of skills or knowledge thet I include as a percision shooter.

Bein able to shoot accurate off hand, on moving targets, and without thinkin about the shot (natural shootin) is a big part of it.  Secondarily you cain't do any of that without knowin the gun (buildin the skill to shoulder and hold the gun), along with knowing the trigger (when the sears gonna fall), and last knowin the path the bullets gonna take.  Past that it's hunting skills - gettin the game to where you can shoot it, by waiting, stalking, or simply trickin it to go where you want.  Don't know what you guys consider percision shootin, how you get it, or perfect it but this is a start.

Precision to me means putting the bullet exactly where I want it,regardless of range and conditions.I think a lot of the skills needed to do that are inheritable.Training will make most people better but like everything else some people have natural advantages.Macca
