While I had the camera I thought it would be fun to see everbodys home away from home (load bench). This is mine small  nothing fancy but it's all I need, could use a few drawers I guess and maybe some paint. But who cares,it's mine it's quiet (yeah right) and everythings in arms reach.  Ok now let's see the pro's shop's.

Give me a week to clean it up and I'll post a pic. I've got plenty of room, but have a lot of stuff not related to loading sitting out.

Same here. Bet BK's got himself a nice place. Let me finish some painting/staining and installing the lighting and new ceiling fan and I should be good to go. Am in the process of building two new benches w/laminated butcher block tops. SHould I include all of my (6) presses? LOL!!

Ha! If I get a chance I'll straighten it up a little today and snap a pic just for the fun of it. I'll just keep the camera from panning too far left, that end of the 8' bench is more than a mess. I think I can fill my dumpster a time or two from that room alone this spring. I'm a slight pack rat, so is my dad, who I blame, but he is a neat pack rat. You should see his garage, 16x20 with 2 walkways 2 foot wide!

I used to have that packrat prob myself. I think I finally weaned myself away from "collecting" so much stuff. I have a list and a half for Ebay this week so that will free drawers and shelf space in the room and make it look like I'm a little organized. Funny though, when I was single, I would have a date over ;) and I would nearly always receive a comment such as."do you have a maid"? The dates were serious! My place was so clean and organized, man it was great. Married now w/two kids and I can't find my butt w/both hands.

It gets used as an anvil. I use it for hitting the kinetic puller on if needed, other wise that is just where it is for now. ."It's one of those where you push things to the side for a spot to work at" -yup, it all pushed aside nicely. They redid a section of track not too far from us and left everything lay. We grabbed some short sections and base plates, everything else was too heavy to even look at. The brite side is when cleaning up the shelf thing I found a couple of boxes of primers I forgot about.

Tik I like your set up

Ours is compact but could take some reorganization but Everything has its place but not as well laid out as yours.

Good job

Well, this is the only digital pic I have of my reloading bench, which was obviously more focused on the rifle than the bench as the subject!  Anyhow it's all I've got for now.

I'll admit this was a staged photo at the time.  Yep, felt guilty about having a messy work station and had to clean the thing up.  In truth, it looked more like BK's bench before the pic and now than it did during the pic!

Yes sir it is.

We managed to whord some solid oak doors that came out of a hospital that my uncle used to be administrator of.  We took all sorts of stuff outta there.  Doors, chairs, wiring, all sorts of stuff before they demo'd it.

The door works great as a reloading bench and with the finish I'd probably use it as a dining table if I had any more left!

Oh, here's another thought, I may use it to check range of flexibility of that dark headed chick in your avatar BK.  That might be just as fun as reloading!!!

(the pointing of this emoticon has a suggestive point that I had in mind for that chick)  perhaps followed by a

HA!  Been meaning to mention that about that for your avatar BK, since everyone else took a shot... I had to throw a shot myself.

Anyhow, the point is the oak door works good as a bench.

Hey Mountaineer, you better stay away from bk's avatar - you'd probably catch something that you couldn't shake off.

Good point moose!

Not only might I get something that wouldn't wash off with warm soapy water but maybe a cat fight as well.  Seems like two of the girls in BK's avatar were rather fond of each other in one avatar I saw of his   I wouldn't want to break up a happy marriage (since that sorta thing is legal in some places now).

As to the topic at hand, I wish I had more shelf space for things like a shooting rest, books etc.  Maybe that will be a project sometime in the future.

The other one was a gif of Brittany and Madona kissing, are you telling me you wouldn't like to watch a couple of girls fight over you? Maybe they would comprimise and agree to share

Well, if I must I suppose I could just let them sort it out, I don't think I'd  suffer too much.

Well Mountaineer, if things turn out that way, make sure you do what all good gun owners do; protect your equipment - use a bore guide .

i'll see if i can get the ol' digicam fired up... my loading area is nowhere near as bright as tikka's, that's for sure... will take several pictures because i have a loading area, not just a spot... i have too much stuff...

my area looks a lot like bk's...

ok, here it is:

the first pic is an attempt at kind of an 'overall' view.

here is a pic of what my wife calls the 'ammo dump'... a few boxes of assorted factory garbage, then a couple of my 100 round boxes, and the powder and gun cleaning caddy in the back:

and here's a snippet of one section of what is on the wall:

my bench is definitely not as nice as some of what you guys have posted, but it works for me... i don't have much for shelving (room to go up), but i have quite a bit of space to go out, so that's what i do... i didn't get all my stuff pictured, but this is the bulk of it... now, if i could just get the car out of the garage, i could have even more room!!! hahahaha! just need to convince my wife that the car will be better off outside...

Dakotasin,

That bench looks good to me.

As for getting the wife to agree the car would be better off outside.  Well, since a lot of reloading is done in the summer months, maybe she can leave the car outside.  That way the rain water will give a spot-free rinse from time to time.  Now in winter, we're probably out hunting so a compromise might be made to let her put it back in the garage.

Good luck!
