Ok guys, this is my list of rifles that i am going to get over a period of 10 years. More likely i will get them over 6 years.

Ruger m77mk2 lefty: .25-06,  .270, .30-06 (already have), .300 Win Mag

Browning A-Bolt lefty: .280 Rem

Winchester model 70 Classic Sporter LT: 7mm STW, 7mm Mag x 2 (turn it into .264 Win Mag), .338 Win Mag

Winchester model 70 Classic Safari Express Magnum: .375 H&H Mag.

I chose the winnie safari in .375 because the rifle is 8.25 lbs. versus the A-Bolt which was 7.5 lbs. I figured that it would be better to have a little more rifle behind it. Also note how all of the calibers for the Winnie are Magnums. That is because they, again, are heavier and it would be lessen recoil because the Ruger and the Browning are both very light weight. I may cut out more A-bolt but i am not sure. I think i can get a Ruger in .25-06, but again, i am not sure. THe Ruger has the cheapest retail value, the winchester has second. I figure I might as well cut down on the Brownings so as to try and save money.  Ok, now i am down to one Browning. I figure i might as well go with the Browning in .280 because it is cheaper than putting a .280 Rem barrel on another rifle. If you guys see any discrepencies in this, feel free to point them out.

O BTW, I may even add on a Weatherby if the price is good enough!

O wait, I forgot the Tikkas. Three tikkas, two in .308, one in .243. The .243 would become my varmint rifle through some minor modifications and one of the .308's would be boosted to .358 Winchester. I figure this covers about everything, wouldn't you?

You have good tastes! Read the post I put on the 264 topic. My 7mmstw is just like the one you want, but I don't think its in the winchester catalog any more. When you get an STW be sure to get a 26" or longer Barrel. My Winnie is  a little fussy about loads but I have had some good groups with it using barnes 150 grain XBT and Sierra 160 grain bt Hollow point game kings. I don't think I,ll hunt with it this year as I hav a 3 gun battery I plan on taking. . Check this out. For deer my model 7 308(if you shot it, you would change you mind on remingtons fast) 150 grain flat base speers at 2840fps. sub moa.  For deer and elk  my model 70 lt classic 30,06 165 speer fbs at 2850 sub moa .  For Elk My modle 70 .338 win with hornady or Barnes 225 grain at 2860 Not quite as accurate as the  other two yet but still working.. All zeroed at 200 will be about 8 inches low at 300 and 23 iches at 400 All have Leupolds and it seems to me I will be able to zap a range with my Laser and figure hold over very quickly and have the same trajectory with all my rifles. I got it figured, now if only the Deer and Elk show up ! ...tj3006
