With inflation today  $330 sounds like a bargain.

Wife bought 6 sausage buns at the bakery today  $6.10 out the door.   thanks Brandon.

I have a Rock Island 1911 in .45. It is the basic model. No dove tail grip safety etc. I haven't shot it anywhere as much as my Smith&Wesson 1911 but it hasn't had a hiccup in probably about 1000 rounds. It runs flawlessly.

I think $330 is a bargain.

1911's are Great Guns!!! Many, many makers out there copying Mr. Brownings design. I shot in Bullseye competitions for a number of years & put lots of rounds downrange. A 200gr cast lead SWC w/Bullseye & standard LP primer was my load of the time for that game out of a Colt made gun.

Many 1911 style guns are coming out of Turkish factories & they are getting good reviews. The Rock Island brand comes out of Armscore in the Philippines & seem to get good reviews also. Thinking maybe with Computer aided machinery now it's easier to produce a quality gun plus labor overseas is less costly too. Will the proposed new tariffs screw that up?????

FYI: Copied this from another site (can't verify)"Your Tisas is a better gun. Tisas uses forged parts, while RIA uses MIM and stamped parts. Tisas is also generally considered a bit more reliable, though they're both pretty reliable." Although MIM & stamped parts are in lots of guns nowadays so maybe they are OK. I have handled but not shot a Tisas 1911 & they feel good & appear to be ok without the experience of firing one of them.
I didn't know you could by a real 1911 gun without a grip safety!!

If we were still allowed to buy/sell handguns up this way, I'd be all over that RIA for $330, even with the 40% currency exchange rate, too!! Wink
