It's way out of my price range but interesting. This or some thing like it would be WAY easer to hide then the suburban when I'm calling dogs. I'll bet I could come up with a 24 volt scooter and put some kind of track or ATV wheels to go in the snow. Have a plug in in your truck to help keep a charge up. I found the batteries on the net for around $500 but I have never seen a motor that runs on 70 volts. What'cha think a handy mans project !!! http://www.quietkat.com/ Edited by d4570 |

"Combining 48V 20AH Lithium Ion Battery output with as much mechanical input as the rider is capable of" Mean's you have to push it up hills, it has stand up platform like a scooter, so you can push it like a scooter. You can find the used personal mobilty carts, with bad batteries, either cheap or free. Medicare replaces them, every two or three years, they'll replace scooter, but not battery. These would give you motors and controls to work with. I expect adult tricycle, could be used as base, to add power to. |

WOW and thats USED!!! I would make something "Montana" grade tuff, no belt although a snowmobile is belt drive. We can't go OFF road anyway I'm just looking for something I could use with the Suburban, It would be way easer to hide in a road ditch, when I'm calling a Flat stretch of land.

I don't think walking is all that bad. I usually find some cool looking rocks, a shed antler or some other interesting stuff to fill my pockets with. Wing master |

I'm always amazed at the price of ATVs new. For that price one could buy a used CJ jeep, and cut off cab. then you would have a better enging, transmission, clutch and power! The Segway is interesting as it is narrow, light weight, quiet, and could be used in modest woods not just cow trails and fire lanes. Edited by Ursus Major |

Interesting. Too bad the rear tires are way too small for off road. Google or
bing "Zero electric motorcycles." |
