Part 1, guy hands me a bag of parts and a reciever for an AR-15. He also left a beautiful Colt New Frontier SAA, blue, with Ivorine grips, in .44 Special with a 5" Bbl for me to look at (Drool is a better description). Part 2, Two hours later the AR is assembled and he guy walks in and looks it over. Well, he was thrilled and was heading out that very moment to shoot it. As he is walking out, without paying, he casually, over his shoulder, says, "Keep the Colt." Not knowing what he as talking about, I figured that he was coming back to pick it up and pay for the AR. Well, it was getting late and I called him. He said the rifle was  a real nail driver and well worth it. I asked, "Worth what?" and was told that it was worth the Colt for what I did. Needless to say, I was, for once, speechless. He paid me with that revolver. Aside from being perfect, like it was just delivered from the factory, there was no box for it. Well, there goes the neighborhood. I guess I am stuck with a virtually new Colt .44 spl SAA wth no box for it. OH THE HUMANITY!!!.................Kingpin

I kind of agree with Bear. Sounds to good to be true. If
you have the means I would do some checking on the SAA to
make sure it is legal.

Must be something in the air, it happened to me today too. My boss
called and said he wanted to drop off some paperwork. I had the kids
at swimming lessons but said he could meet me at my parent's house
when they were done. He shows up and gives me a card that was
kinda a thank you but says 2 of 2 on the bottom. He then pulls out a
wrapped box. A brand new (with the box) Uberti 4 3/4" El Patron .45
LC! While not a Colt pretty darn close. It is their hand fitted custom
shop model. I had mentioned on our last trip I'd seen one at a gun
shop and noted how smooth the action was. He saw one picked it up
and thought the same thing. I'm just flabbergasted. Hope the rest of
you score too.

I say good for you both, some people still do nice things, there doesn't have to be some sinister reason behind it.

Do things happen in threes?

I was walking down the street last night, and saw a neighbor approaching from the other direction walking his dog.  the neighbor had what looked to me like a shoe box under his arm.

As we talked he handed the shoe box package to me and said "would you take this"?  Visions of CSA pasted thru my head and I said "for me"?

He said no just hold it a minute as I want to pick up my dog, he just pissed on your leg!

The guy is REALLY well off and the gun isn't hot. I am just wondering why he doesn't just take me to Africa with him, all expenses paid of course. Maybe he figures my bar bill would  too much to handle...............I am going to have to curb that, and not be so self indulgent, and share my possessions, start going to church, and be more sensitive to my wifes needs.............NAH, I'll keep the .44....................................Kingpin

Great score on the SAA's, I'd say.

How about some pics?

Here's a nice Ruger old model Vaquero in .44 Mag I recently scored:
