That time of year LING!!!!!

The snow is flying, the temp is dropping, and the moon is right. Right after Thanksgiving I'm going to cut some sucker and gather up some fire wood and head to the river ,at night, and fish LING.

The little sliver of moon that will be out will go down shortly after sunset so it's TIME!!!!!

This years Ling fest!!! The temp was around 40* Great, The wind was around 40 BAD...
We got set about 20 minuets before dark, perfect. the first Trout was caught about three minuets later and that set a trend for the evening. We couldn't start a fire because of the wind but I do have a huge propane heater that I had going and the lantern all running of the big 20 pound bottle. We had a good supply of nice fresh sucker all cut. The chairs where no use we would not sit down much and the wind would tip them in to the water if you stood so we put them away. From the first fish they just kept on biting, at first mostly trout but the ling joined in shortly after dark and kept up till the wind finally blue us off the water. By 8 we had a big tub of fish and called it do to wind and we quit. One of the better Ling fest we have had. Wish you where there .. Ha Ha Ha...
