OK Here we go; I'm only going to shoot the slugs in My 870 bird gun, NOT a rifled barrel, or scope. Now that said
My load; Fiocchi 3” primed brown hulls 45 grains blue Dot powder 2 gas seals 1-oz slug two o/s cards Fold crimp ![]() ![]() Like I said I was shooting at 85 yards off shooting sticks here are the targets. ![]() ![]() Now I have to do some shooting and with a bit of practice I'm confident I can run out to 100 yards and get a deer... On a side note I loaded up some steel shot shells too. some ( 100) 3" -1 1/8 Mag #3, (75) 3" 1 1/4 #1, and I tried some 2 3/4 #3 steel 1 oz that should be about 1600 fps and patterned very well. I was not really set up to pattern shot shells today but I shot at 45 yards with my improved choke and had 80 hits in about a 3 foot circle. |
