ever see a ruger like this?

        In a local hawk shop today, I saw a neat little model 77. This one was an older tang safty RL model with the 20 inch tube. The unusual thing about this guy was that it had a nice laminated stock,(almost sure it was factory)with the little black for end, and it was chamberd for the 7mm08. I think the guy is nuts asking 520.00 for this rifle , the stock is rather nicked up, enough that as far as i am concerned its no collectable. It has the rings and a throw away scope on it. I would consider trading my A-bolt micro hunter in the same caliber ,but I KNOW it shoots good,and  who can say about the ruger. It sure feels good ! If I could get ito it for about 375.00 I would love to put a pac-nor barrel in 358 Winchester on it The laminated stock gives it a certain heft that would make a sweet shooter out of it !

	TJ, that must have been a custom job. Ruger didnt start making their rifles with laminate stocks until the mk2 model 77s. I bet it was an Ultra light with a new stock put on that looked like the new stocks. I think it has a different barrel on it because i have never heard of any Rugers made in 7mm-08 except the compact, which you can get with a laminate stock and a 16.5 inch barrel. Now those are sweet handling guns. NH_Hunter

	You may be right but I was thinking it was a limited edition. It sure looks origional . I would like to own it but not at tthat price... tj3006
