As I type there is a Boss hen turkey eating my new grass seed in my yard.

Don't get to see many of these rainbow birds.  Nice big bird.

this gal has one about 1.5" long.

Because of this most states license "bearded birds" not tom's.  Inever shoot a bearded hen as it can and does breed.  Most people look for the beard before shooting a bird.  The head and feathers also let you know it is a hen.

Hope it stops showing up each morning and eating my grass seed!   Does grass seed give a turkey a nice flavor on the table????

That depends on how much mercury and fungicide it has on the seed.
