Myths?

Here's a few:

1.  Manufacturer's reported velocities and ballistics are great representations of what their ammo will do in the field or on the range.

2.  If John Doe has a particular rifle that I'm interested in that shoots MOA groups and I go buy the exact same rifle, from the same store he did, I can expect the same results.

3. A bolt action is the most accurate action and will outshoot any other action.

Number 1 myth: See through scope mounts are not accurate. Have no good use. And are ugly as sin. OK, OK they are ugly as sin. But they serve a purpose where I hunt and I sure as hell wouldn't want to be the guy in the cross hairs if the guy on the other end had less than honorable intentions. RD
