my .454's a super redhawk. i like the cartridge alot. when i decided to get into it, it proved to be quite a step up from the .44remmag i had. being the first "big" revolver cartridge i got, it'll always be a personal favorite. i load a 395 gr. cast performance lbt solid in it at around 1400 fps. it's a thumper of a round. |

If you want a single action, the only choice that makes sense to me is to get one of the Freedom Arms guns. They are not cheap in any sense of the word, but you will never be disappointed in the quality. And, you can load the thing to the point that hell won't have it. Foo |

Those Freedom Arms revolvers are absolutely beautiful, and remarkably well made firearms. I know a shop that has a .454 4 3/4" barreled one. They sure aren't cheap though! I know a guy who has one in .500 Wyoming Express, and man, that thing barks when he touches it off! You should see the hole that thing puts in a propane tank (empty of course)!
