Lets pretend we were old enough to
remember 1935. I can remember 1965 but not 35. What round was out there then that fit in the 270 nich? The 7x57 was reasonably close. The closest us round I can think of would be the .250 savage. The Roberts was a wild cat then. The .270 works great. If you don't like it ok. But it works great. ...tj3006 |

What I find more telling, 6.5mm-06 never became popular, but 25/06 and 270 did, .007" on either side and neither having the BC or SD.
