If you get to Tennessee it is worth a few hours to drive the Natchez Trace Parkway.

It is a slow winding drive thru beautiful country.  It runs the ridgelines, so you can drive it or hike it easily (bicycle). Lots of history, from Indian travels to a Lweis and Clark connection (Merriweather Lewis was killed there and is buried there).

The Trace's use was a major factor contributing to the development of the nation's interior. It ran from Natchez to Nashville,

It is a vast network of trails, which we now know as the Natchez Trace, was used by American Indians in prehistoric times,

I'd like to see that part of the country. One of these days I plan to. I will add this to my list.

Thanks Bear
