I don't own any. But I do have a pair of the Nikon ATB binoculars. Very good glass and not overly priced even if they are Jap. I've shot one Winchester M70 Winlite 300 Win. Mag. with a Nikon Buckmaster scope that worked out well. The rifle literally went through two Trascho's due to recoil. This particular version, if I remember, wasn't super light drawing but pretty dern good. If memory serves me correctly, they also don't have the best guarantee either - some have 25 yr. others lifetime, and some are ??? Overall, I guess I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I'll probably buy one to put on top of a Browning A-Bolt 308 should I ever happen across one at the price I like. |

I've had a Nikon Buckmaster scope on my 30-06 for 3 or 4 years now and have no complaints. It holds its zero and the glass is very clear. Works for me.

nikon makes pretty good glass. i like their cameras, spotters, binoculars - but i am not much of a fan of their scopes; they don't seem to have riflescopes hammered out just yet. mechanically sound, but tend to get some nasty walleye vision. brightness is as good as anything in the same price range.

Tikka; I don't have one of their scopes, but do have a lot of their camera equipment. I could buy one of their scopes if the right deal came along at the right price. And that might just happen fairly soon now. 900F |

I just rememberd , I have a pair of Nikon Travel-Lite bino's that I use for deer hunting. I love those little suckers. Especially the price. I picked them up in a yard sale for, ''get this'', .50 cents... Yep, thats what I call a deal.

Just bought a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5x14 with side focus. Very clear
glass. Haven't shot it much, but so far I'm happy with it. Lifetime
warranty and the price is great.

I have one of their older scopes, before they had the Buckamster and Monarch lines. The scope is good, no problems. I prefer the Monarchs out of the new line up, but they are a little high for my pocket book at the moment. Hudge |

I have 2 Nikon scopes - one early '90's (3x9x40, .30-06) the second '97ish (3x9x40 matte, .338 Win). This was before Nikon had the Monarchs, Buckmasters, etc. They are without a doubt some of the best scopes I own. If I were to buy a Nikon scope again (and I'm sure I will) I would buy the Monarch. My father happens to have a Buckmaster (3x9x40) on a .300 Win, and loves it. Nikons are very good glass for the money. Also, I read a review on SniperCountry.com about the Nikon Sniper scope. The reviewer said it was every bit as good, if not better than the Leupold. Nikon is good stuff... I highly recommend it. Edited by Moose6 |

Tikka; Well, I'm gonna find out for myself. I ordered a Nikon Monarch 3.3-10X A/O mil-dot to go on the CZ452 American LHB that's coming also. I'm anxiously looking forward to gopher season. 900F |

Tikka; The CZ 452 is a .22lr, no choice in the matter, that's what the model means. The Daly is being a problem child. The Tikka just doesn't get shot enough. I haven't been able to get out at all since my dad died. 900F |

Good luck on the Nikon. My brother bought a top of the line Nikon for his Weatherby 340. Expensive but it looked nice, and I've had good luck with Nikon cameras for over 30 years. Rifle scope was just bad, dealer took it back and refunded the money. It was "sort of out of focus, it messed with your mind. I'd say a lens was out of plane???? Also had a Nikon pistol scope on 41 mag, eye relief was super critical, made hunting impossible with it. Nikon should make decent stuff; maybe I just had two duds??? Hope you have better luck. BEAR |

In todays world, most ALL scopes produced are as close to optically perfect as they can be. Now, that being said, some will take real abuse and still work. The lesser makers just fall by the wayside......................Kingpin

I know one thing, I would rather buy a Nikon than a Burris FF2. At least Nikons are made in Japan instead of the Phillipines

http://www.24hourcampfire.com/binoculars2.html Says the Burris FF2 is made in the Phillipines. |
