Well, I woke up this morning and my dog was whinin to beat heck. I let him out, and he was gone. Ok, fine, no worry. Well I walked around outside waiting, and I was looking down in the field. It's about 6:30 and there are two adult and one pup playing in my fresh cut alfalfa. I watched them for about 15 minutes, then came in and woke her up and watched them for another 10. The sun was very low and bright, making all my pictures even worse than usual, but here is the best one. These pictures are taken from my shooting bench, that is my 200 yard target to the left. Oh, and shadow came back shortly.

I would have cropped the pic, but this is straight off via USB, anytime I transfer it to the computer to edit, the file size increases about 10 fold.

And to answer a question that was posted on shooters, if you can make it out, the adult on the right has it's tail up high, wagging just as fast as it can.

BK C;

Got back from the range this morning.  Went to wring out the 6mm & check loads.  The 6mm is to be my dedicated coyote gun.  All I need now are live targets.  Where did you say you're from?

PS, did you shoot more than the camera?

Birth certificate!? He don't need no steenkink birth certificate!!

CB,

I thought about it, but it was more fun just to watch. There are a lot of them around, but they don't really bother people or animals too much. I know of a couple cats that have come up missing, but that's it. If they start becoming a nusense I might start going for them, but not until. When I let my dog out I yelled at him and was in no way quiet. The one looked up at me and sniffed the air but just ignored me. I walked out to my shooting bench and sat down and watched. They were about 50 yards from me at one time. You can see in the pic we just cut the field, so chances are they have been out there quite often, but now I can see them. The pup was chasing a mouse or something, very comical.

Oh, I'm in central WI. Maybe I can get a better pic if they come back, the sun was just above and left so there was very heavy glare, plus it was rather hazy.

BKC;

Yup, they regard cats like you & I do potato chips & peanuts.  Around here they take enough fawns & calfs to make them more than a nuisance.  I'm going to try to get into the coyote culling big time.

cb,

Yeah, I guess if they were that bad I'd be after them too.

If I get a chance to take another pic, I'll do it through my bino's. Those are very clear, long pics with my camera are rather blurry, they just don't focus right.
