   One for the guys even though I hate bows.
What is the world record for furthest arrow ever shot with a bow?
Hold on to your hats guys............................
2,047 yards 
Just over 1 mile. 
Arrow was shot by the late Henry Drake in 1988 using a crossbow. 

Maybe I will look into buying a cross bow. Any suggestions about the most powerful one to try to duplicate that shot?...........................Kingpin

	IN the 60s, I use to shoot competition archery. at the club picnic we did a golf/pumpkin shoot. this was setting punpkins around a golf course and shooting a round of golf/pumpkin (no golfers allowed). Most of the bows were under 40# with heavy fiberglass or heavy aluminum arrows; and we used "cloud sights" for aiming. 200-300 shots were the general thing. now most of my hunting is using a crossbow, as my hands are K-putt. But I've never tried long range targets. I've shot coons out of trees with it and the carbon arrows go thru the coon and 300 yards when shot upward from under a tree. I now wonder what a 45 degree shoot would do???? next postal shoot could be 150 yard crossbows. 3 shot group and take a pic of them with a 2x4x10' in pic?
