6 hours 24 min Via highway 2 ,353.6 miles ONE WAY.
Left Thursday evening and will return Tuesday evening
4 hard days of hunting and no moose sightings...
Crud!
They saw a bear, there both tagged out now, some big elk, bunch o deer, and brases and brases of grouse.
But not even a moose track. They did here some wolf at night far away.
There going to leave most the camping gear and 4 wheeler with some relation in Kalispell for next weeks hunt. I really kinda want her to fill the moose tag so when I go in a week and a half ,won't have to pack moose.! I want to be there to see the moose hit the dirt ( Mud) but just as soon not have to pack.

"PS" Yaak Mt ( Way North west )is 795.1 miles from Alzada Mt ( way south east ) Just saying!

You're way up there, D!

It's always been my ambition to visit all "four corners" of Montana. I've been to the ones in the south, but need to get up north here in the next couple of years!

Taz;

Iffn ya misses the NE corner, but say ya wuz der anyway,
nobody will care, or even know. All ya has to do is
describe it as pretty flat & waaay boring.

The NW corner is another story. I've only been as far as
Libby, and it sure is pretty there. The population just
keeps gettin' thinner as you go further west on 2 though.

It's funny - I went back to the site of my earliest childhood memories this past summer - Glasgow AFB (AKA Saint Marie), which is actually about 20 miles north of Glasgow - one of the more remote places a person can be, to be honest. On top of that, the place is pretty much a ghost town, with deserted, grown-over streets, abandoned housing and other silent buildings - really almost as if time stopped when we moved away in 1976.

But, having said that, I loved every minute of it ~ if a person knows what to look for, it is absolutely beautiful country.

Of course, those mountains, creeks and lakes are a true treasure as well. I often consider myself lucky where I am at - I get the best of both!
