Interesting video, he is good. I got to see Howard Hill mega years ago. He was fantastic. That was his splitting the arrow in the 1930s Robin Hood movie on the video. He was a competition archer with hundreds of competitive awards, and a hunter.

Howard shot a long bow that he made without sights. Back then everyone shot 'instinctive'. When I started archery, 1962, I was a hunter shooting instinctive..no one shot sights. In 1967 I started shooting withed at us a peep and a sight. Hunters laugh at us.

Now, I never see an instinctive shooter any longer. That form can't compete on an accuracy level.

Guys right about back quivers, suck. In 1965 I got a nice leather one. OK for target shooting, but slow and caught on every thing. I made it into a low back design with arrows under my right arm. now I just use a belt quiver (target style.

Can't carry arrows in your hand like the video. With todays sharp arrows, you would need a dozen spare strings.

Archery season ended here on Saturday, Friday night was my last night in a tree...missing it.

thanks for the post IBD
