You know with out a truck to get out in the field I sure seam to be working on the bug a lot. That is a good thing I suppose . I finished the "slick" paint , the sheet steel and the HDPE runners on. I had it upside down in my shop for over a month. I put her the right side down now and it looks better. I'm planning on taking it over to our Fish wildlife and parks station soon . To have a "VIN" assigned and stamped in the hull. A formality to get a title and registration and a boat number, and permeant tags. I'm going to get it titled as a plane gas powered 12' boat, forgoing some Federal regulations ...
My first plan was not to have bung plugs and just use a high capacity bilge pump. BUT
with the new invasive Mussels the FWP is going to require a permeant drain in a boat hull, in my case two.
EVEN if I never use them they have to be there, humm.
Now I have to do that BEFORE I take her down for said "VIN" number.
I did Redo a small trailer we have to accommodate the 7 1/2 foot wide boat, its a temporary fix till I can make a custom , for my purpose ,trailer just to use to move it around a bit and to water test things as I go.
I would love to be out practicing killing gophers But, you know life happens .
D
