Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT.
There a little pricy but not more so then any midrange truck tire. The last three trips out calling coyotes I had a flat from a rock penetration. SUCKS. BUT the last time I was hunting with my "Tire guy". The truck came with Fusion all season tires on it , they had a lot of tread left but are horrible in the snow and mud. It's been a year now but only about 7000 miles I put on them. The truck rides very nice and quiet. The New gen at3 xlt have an improver side wall tread and more siping then the at3. $900 installed and road hazard and disposal. Dang tires, we had to get new ones for the Buick 3 month ago and I got 3 new tires and rims for the waterbug trailer I'm making, we are about tired out....

I ended up getting the Cooper AT3s for my truck, based on your recommendation, haven't had them in mud or snow yet. So far I like them, went with 285/75R16 10ply, beefy tires, got a $75 rebate off set. Ended up upgrading to better steel wheel, because of rebate offered on them.
Hopefully I didn't mess up by not getting the new XLT version. |

My tire guy said the new version is basically the same.
A little flasher side wall graphitic and slightly more siping on the tread same rubber. and a bit more money...

For the last few years I have been running Hankook atm tires. I have had very good luck with them, excellent in the snow and mud, tough as hell and good mileage.
