Ron, these guys come up with some excellent designs, and having looked at it, I will guarantee two things. It will shoot well, and it will kill game extremely well. If you are interested in any of these custom designs ran on the cast boolits board, don't drag your feet, as they tend to fill up the custom orders quickly. And when they are gone, they are gone, until someone should decide to put together another custom order. What happens, is once a minimum amount of orders are reached, the mold company waives the set up fee, making them quite reasonable. I believe there are some other custom molds in the works over there at the time. I'm pretty sure the BD45 for the .45 ACP is getting another run. I did the original design testing on that one, when it was in the development stage, and is the most accurate I have shot from my Commander, although my 1911 likes a lighter bullet. Just barrel preferences. There was also a 6.5 bullet, but I believe it closed out this last week for orders. I'm sure there are others, but I don't keep up on all of them, as I WANT all of them, but the bank account isn't always cooperative.

If any of you guys are cast bullet shooters, I have internet matches currently underway on that board. Look for the competition forum.

ric - post a link to that forum, ok?

i took a look at the schematic of this particular boolit and noticed that it had a diameter of .312. i am assuming that with sizing, this should work in any .30cal rifle?

Fellows: if you need to know how this boolit will do you, Western Bullet in Missoula sells this design in a couple different diameters..Good source ,too,if you choose not to spring for a mould from the special run. Red

The 311440 is an old Lyman design. It is a very good hunting bullet. Normally you would size it to .311" as all my 30-30s take that with ease. Like waksupi says, when its gone its gone, so if you want it, click the link and go to the top of the thread (bdoyle) and click on his handle to get to the e-mail feature.
