some "hunting" arrowheads have two blades, some have three, and even four.

anyone care to explain the difference?

ron: getten into bow hunting??  the blades count is just what makes your arrows fly better. some fly better with 2 blades . it all is diffrent. sometimes arrows with 4 feathers fly better than with 3. they recover better. you just have to play with it. like do you want a left helical or right or strait. most of the guys when the chose a broad head want to know what kind of tip it has. instant cutting or a chisel point.  the chisel point will go threw bone better. the blade all the way will punch threw the hide better. but somethimes bends when it hits a bone.  just stay away from the mecanical blades. seen to many deer hit with those and all it leaves is a tatoo when they didnt open.

i was thinking that arrowheads and bullets do't have much in common, except tehre are many types, all for different jobs....

a few years ago i bought a fairly nice bow (i THINK it was a kodiak? named after a bear, in any case), but i gave it to my friend after a couple of years. i never could get all that good with it, and never found the time to get better.

What are the best all around broadheads for elk, boar, whitetails? I am going to get a bow over the summer and i want as much kill power as I can get out of it and still be able to shoot it well.
