I'm not a big fan of engraved guns. To me they look gawdy.

I saw this Smith & Wesson K-22 engraved by Winston Churchill. I had no idea that he engraved guns after the war. In my opinion it's a beautiful gun. Not overly done and it has some touches I've never seen before like he flattened the sideplate screw heads.

I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

Considered one of the best New England engravers during the fifties and early sixties. So few good ones these days.

From the looks of his work that's posted on his web site I bet that shotgun is a work of art.

I have a K-22. It makes me look a better shooter than I am.

In my opinion, Smith & Wessons from a couple years after WWII until about 1984 are the best quality and have the best fit and finish.

I also think that the ones built from 1959 until 1967 are the best of the best.

I'm sure your K-22 a Masterpiece.
