I went calling coyotes this morning before it got hot.
I was on the road at 3:30 AM. I did some good sets but no coyotes???
I did find a new P dog town, still small but every hole had two adults and 4 pups on it.
I did not shoot any, I don't know if they have ever soon P dog killers. I was well under 50 yards from them and the just set there and barked at me.
I hope its far enough off the road that they don't get wiped out.
For what ever reason only 5 miles away, one of the smaller towns I shoot looks bad, very bad. It's all grown over with grass and forbs, normally they mow every thing to the ground. I did see a few dogs but no pups and very few big dogs, I don't know with that's all about.Thumbs Down

Several years ago the game and fish relocated black footed ferrets south of me in the biggest prairie dog town I know of.

I assume they ended up getting the plague or something. After about 10 years of "No Shooting prairie dogs" they are all gone. Theirs many square miles of holes and no prairie dogs.

I'm sure all the ferrets are gone too.

Maybe yours got the plague?
