Doesn't that suck?
The old trucks/cars went forever, not like the new motors that a 150,000 is still low mileage but in YEARS.
A wail back it was nothing to see 30 and 40 year old cars still on the road.Ouch

Sounds about right. Sorry to hear it hit.

I hit a tree night before last. Misty ground fog, low beams and 30-35 mph the whole way home. Fella comin down the hill had his brights on and was blindin the crap out of me. Right as we passed, there it was. About 8" diameter tree across my lane. Jammed the brakes and held on but I had just put 500 lbs. in the bed for traction and it all slid to the cab giving me an extra nudge. I stopped with one front tire on the tree......then I realized....WTF! I'm sinking! Got lucky as the tree was a completely rotted sponge!!! Drove right through it then. I was tired at 3:30am.......was. Nothin touched the cotton though! Made it to work yesterday and told the guys my good fortune for a laugh when one of the others grumbled about smackin an 8 point at 70mph, totaled his wifes car. He admitted that  maybe, just maybe, his cottons got touched.

Point is, seems like everyone is havin some sort of issue with the vehicles of late and I hope it doesn't continue or become a trend.
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!

New axle in  $$$.

headlights re-aligned, I hope.

Bird strike at 90 mph in 50 mph wind got fixed $260.  figure that bird got tossed to Calgary or farther.

Will test the Ford next week pulling the 6000# boat thru the mountains 150 miles to the limestone mine where I store it, underground about 1 mile (constant temp there 52oF).
