Been reloading daily for the last 6 weeks.....and the club range has been shut down.
BUT, club Board is meeting tomorrow night to vote on coming out of hunker-down mode. maybe I can go shooting sunday??????? figure sight in the 222. test loads in M1 carbine. sign in 243 as MYGAWDS back up rifle. can't wait. I usually go to the range at least one day a week since retirement...but it has been 5+ months since I was there...like a drug addict.

Living in the boonies has it's advantages I guess. Since the crisis has started the only thing that has changed much with me is work. It has been kind of slow so when I'm done with a job I go home and do online training. My wife and boys are home so it's kind of like summer vacation in my head. Other than that...no change. I can shoot at home, 100yd range out back, we ran a trapline the last 3 weeks of the season, ride wheelers, hunt turkeys, no change. I don't shop much, like at all, so not going to a store is no big deal. Only stores I ever frequented were the gun shops and the 3 I stopped at had all closed down well before this crap started. The big chain stores are the only thing open, I won't go there (Walmart, Target, etc) so I order what I need online. We order dinner from the local establishments once a week to help them out. Wish you were closer Bear, you could shoot here.

Same with me here too.
The wife and GD are home with me but all the rest is the same. An extra $2400 . I can't shoot out my back door, Neighbors may complain, but it's a ten minute drive out to where I shoot, on a range, with cows, and rabbets, and a few coyotes.

Our range is still open with posters about social distancing. They've shut down the club for all scheduled activities and the clubhouse for all but the restroom, no coffee klatches right now.
We're a smaller club so if you go on a weekday, for the most part your always alone. Be safe. 788

Our range has been closed too. They were supposed to open today. I haven't heard if they pushed it back another two weeks like a lot of other places.
I have been going out to a section of state land a couple miles out of town. I'm waiting for the bench at the range to test my .223 loads. Maybe this weekend. Wing master

Like maplehill I live in the boonies too. Have 50 yd range at house and 200 yd range at cabin 20 min away with bench.
WM you could buy yourself a "Stable Table" portable shooting bench to take to the state land and shoot when ever you liked then. check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VUxlAcDEqE or https://youtu.be/CzJH6jM5g4A Used one many times for gophers in MT and have my own now. We use bipod with bag for rear rest and works very well.

I called the neighbor. He says the field is still open. Social distancing means we have to have at least 6 feet between targets right?

Table has lots of parts...need a BIG bag for it.
With flying, I'll have to stick with a mono/bi/tri-pod.

more than losing a part...the dang thing weights 65lbs and when disassembled it so much easier to have all parts "in the bag" .....grab the handle....grunt...oof....then ask your shooting partner to give you a helping hand. Now ifn yer a young'un, big and strong like WM then not an issue.

I'm getting older every day.
Most of the places I shoot from are close to the road. I would just have to make a couple trips. Wing master
