A Buddy of mine castes bullets for his 223. He uses a copper gas check and runs them around 1500 fps. He get great groups with them with the right alloy. I don't know what powder or charge he uses but I don't think it's trail boss. He shoot it on gophers but most his shots are well under 100 yards.

I'm not sure if he has done this with .222 or .223 but deaddog has some expierence loading light loads using Trail Boss and Unique.

I have some .308's loaded with Unique, but I haven't shot them yet. As soon as the weather straightens up I'll try to get out and shoot them.

Where the heck is deaddog?

D,

I've been looking up and all I have seen is snow clouds.

One of these days it's going to quit snowing and warm up.
