Rifle season will be over for deer in 10 days.  I'll continue to hunt with flintlock and archery thru February.

But now is the time I start to think about Squirrel Hunting.  Slow walks in deer hardwoods with my manlicher style 22LR rifle.  Walking on quiet snow, sometimes with snowshoes.

Anyone else look forward to squirrel hunting?

I have to drive quite a way to get to a tree. It does sound fun though.
