In 1961 I got my first press and FL dies. It came with a bottle of oil/grease "C-H" for lube. messy but worked fine; occasionally some oil dents. But OK.
since then I've used lots of lube, including Gulf motor oil 10-30; which worked fine. About 20 years ago I tried Hornady One-Shot. V ery impressive and no mess. Never had a stuck case nor bent decapping pin. And that is aall I use, simple to use; just spray and let dry...no clean up. But on the net I still hear of disasters with 1-shot. What goes with these other people????

Like you I have used them all. I have had a case stick with Hornady one_shot. After some investigating I found that my case block holder was to tight and that the center cases did not get enough lube. My fault not the lube. Since that failure I alternate the cases every other hole and every other line and that way make sure that all cases get the same about of lube. No problems since.

That is exactly the way I do it. alternate holes and use my large block.
I also spray downwards from about a 30 degree angle to get necks and some inside neck also.

I also use One Shot. I never have had a stuck case with it. Dillon also makes a spray lube that I like but I haven't seen it in a local shop in a while.
I don't think I will ever go back to a lube pad and a bottle of oil. |

I use one touch by hornady too but lately have been using a Hornady paste lube in a tin like the old shoe polish tins with snap lid......a bit on thumb & forefinger and rub case...very effective...
ONE SHOT® CASE SIZING WAXItem #9989Simply dab on your index finger & thumb, then apply to cartridge case before sizing. A little goes a long way. Features
