part of my time at cabin is used to 'remove' the population of groundhogs.
Last year I 'removed' 9. this is still early but seems I have at least 3 eating off my flower beds. But in the last few days I used the CZ 452FS to get 2 for 2 shots fired. Batting 100%. Now if the fish co-operate, Musky fishing this afternoon.

yup smart thing to do would be to hire the lawn work and take care of Varmint/pest control personally.

Forcast was 100% rain and thunderstorms today. So figured it was to be a scouting day. Talk to farmers and get permission to hunt groundhogs. Best time to ask is about 2pm; they had their lunch, maybe a nap. Morning milking done. so they are in relatively happy time. Rained all morning and as I got my'farmer look a-like clothes on I checked radar once more.
A two hour window between thunder storms. ran to the boat still dressed line farmer brown, and I was backing out of the slip.....bright sun. fished my 3 trolling rods for 2 hours, one 36 incher (quick release at boat side). Running the boat along weeds, changing lures, deweeding lines, watching sonar...exhausting. Heavy floating weeds at lift had me run up on lift....so into the water I had to go...cut off motor stop and got 5500# of boat down off lift, wet and tired got back to cabin in a heavy rain. But I had a great day, 2 hours of fishing alone on 45 miles of shoreline, and bright sun with stunning thunderheads 25 miles north of me, and black clouds 10 miles south. even had a fish on the line.

I keep going back to "flower beds" at your cabin? I can maybe see the point, bait for groundhogs.
