I am very sorry to report that Mike passed away this morning. I received word just moments ago.
A few years ago when I was climbing a very high and difficult mountain, Mike said seven simple words to me: "You can't keep a good man down." His battles these past few years - first losing his son, then fighting cancer - have been a personal inspiration to me where faith and family are concerned. I owe him a debt that I can never repay. Rest with Jesus, Mike. I am sad that you are gone but I am glad that you are reunited with Jeremy in the loving arms of our Lord. I miss you already and will remember you all of my days. Ron |

Even though I didn't know him as well as some on here, I could tell that he was a good man. I was friends with him on facebook and saw, even through the pain of the last few years, that he remained positive and tried to lead and inspire others. May God keep his soul and grant his family and friends peace.

How’s it going, pops told me often about the shop, and folks like you all are who I needed in my life as friends. He was the most increadable father, husband and hunting buddy a guy could have. Pops is gonna miss season this year and our trip to Wyoming for antelope and mule deer, but introduced me to Randy and asked that we countinue on in his honor with his grandson in Wyoming this year. I just wanted to thank you guys for all the years of advice and support and friendships you guys blessed my dad and our family with. I’d like to tell you guys as you know how he raised us to know our savior Jesus and truly believe “away from the body is present with Christ” pops ain’t suffering no more. He just wants us to take a minute while in the woods this season bow your head and pray. Thank you guys. Good luck on this upcoming season.

I am really saddened to hear this. I have been "out of pocket" for a week or so but Debbie has been keeping me up to date.
The world has lost one of the good ones. Rest in Peace Mike. You will be missed. Wing master

I am saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I had a couple of private dealings with him and he was always a fair person to deal with. He is missed.

I haven't been on BSB much these past few years. Just logging in right now & so sad to hear of Mike's passing. We exchanged correspondence back in the day & he even once sent me a bottle of hot sauce he was fond of. My sincere condolences to Mike's family! With kind regards.... R.I.P. Mike!

It's been a long time since I've been on the board (probably over a year) and this is the first post that I saw after returning. I remember Tikka lived pretty close to me as I've in Knoxville TN. He always was a class act on the board when I visited. Very sad the read of his passing.
