Years ago I loved hunting quail and rock pigeons, in the sierra foothills. We also used to have pigeon shoot at most Sundays. We'd post up between the three barns and keep them circling. Few of the neighbors caught on and they'd join in and get the feedlot and dairy pigeons to join in. You'd have few hundred birds working in few mile circle, we'd have big BBQ afterwards. As long as you didn't shoot them more than few hours, once a week, they'd stick around.

Boeing 707 makes a heluva thud as well, but it wasn't on the list. Same with the Warthog. Big ugly them be.
Hardwood grouse and doodles are hard to hit and just a blur in the brush. They get my nod.
...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt!

I had to go with Pheasants. Mostly because their are more of them around here than anything else. I haven't hunted them since my bird dogs died, but their was nothing like hunting pheasants over a dog.

I also really like hunting geese. I hunted them with Grumpy2 down in Colorado several times. That was fun.
