Far different powders, both burn speed and performance. H322 is both faster and cleaner, it makes a very good 222 or 223 powder, with lighter bullets. H335 is a bit slower, really too slow for lighter bullets in 223, muzzle flash and blast is pronounced, in barrels shorter than 20". It gives acceptable accuracy, but not known as accuracy powder. It and it's cousin BLC2, it what caused maintenance issues in 60s with first M16s (That and thinking cleaning wasn't needed)

I use h322 in my 222 Remington with great results, got 22 inch barrel. But I just inherited a few cans of H 335; which is recommended for the 223. thinking the slight difference in 223/222 volume that it might work well.
I see the NEED for faster powder in the 223 as most have very short barrels. YES, D thirteen is the correct answer you win.

I've used 50lbs of pulldown H335 and another 30lbs of BLC2 pulldown, they both work, but are part of reason ARs get bum rap about being dirty. When the rest of these are gone, I'll be replacing it with 4895, besides better accuracy, it's much cleaner and versatile.

You are mentioning the bad word.....dirty. might just leave the H335 alone.
I've found the H322 very clean, in my triple duce.

It cleans up easy, but it leaves a lot of carbon, it's not as bad in bolt, with 20-24" barrel. It's like comparing unique to universal, they both work well, unique just is dirtier.
