So I stop at the LGS to kill some time whilst my kids play at a pottery shop up the street. They have this nifty looking tacti-cool 22 sitting up on the grabbers bench. Seems it's a Ruger based on the American 22 action in a fully adjustable chassis. Think 52B in synthetic. Anyone seen one or shot one? Takes either the Ranger 15 shot stick mags or the 10/22. Hadn't even thought about being in the market for one til I saw it. May have to make room in the safe.

According to the Ruger link you posted

  • Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger offers a crisp release with a pull weight that is user adjustable between 3 and 5 pounds, allowing shooters to make that perfect shot.

    • That is really interesting. I have been thinking I need a bolt action .22 for a while. I think I will look at this one.  The Ruger might be accurate, but I don't think it comes anywhere close to the CZ in the looks department.

    •

Also, I know a guy that has a full stock CZ and it's very accurate.

Yeah, very reminiscent of the old 52B with a shorter bull and the fad-like big knob everyone likes so much. The adjustable chassis and cheeck mold is a nice touch as well as the full barrel shroud. Balances ok and the trigger can always be swapped out though it was light and broke clean. Just curious if it's worth the big price tag or not. Sucker better be a shooter for 400. Can buy a fair amount of squirrel and rabbit meat for that much....just less fun. The rail on top seemed a bit short, guessing they don't expect a decent sized optic strapped to it. It's probably five inches long and I prefer big glass for my old eyes.

This one...

My LGS said that the bolt stop can be moved so that if you're using it to practice for the full size, you can get a true .308 length bolt throw.  I didn't try it.  Agreed that I may have to make room in the safe. 788

Sorry, that is just toooo ugly to put in the safe.  Might scare off some of my walnut/blued rifle.

I really see nothing in commom with the Win 52 except the chamber.  Reminds me of the Mossberg Chuckster.

The lack of a comfottable forearm is a sure stopper for me.  Hope it shoots lights out.

Afte looking at the link; I had to fondle my CZ 452FS to relax.

Got to shoot my Targets for Postal shoot today.  Bad scope on that rifle.

Don't get me wrong Bear, I love a nice piece of walnut as much as the next. My safe has no prejudice towards guns of any configuration. Target tools and race guns are more then welcome to come if they do so peacefully and pull their weight!

I didn't see the one in your link jsg. I like the looks of the one in Bears link better. It might not shoot as good but it looks better.

I've been looking real close at the full stock CZ.

I also don't mind having a target gun but it better shoot really good.
