With all of my son's guns and mine, lots of stuff being shifted around. Looking thru my colection of pistols, I thought I'd leave 3 out for something to shoot.
The 3 I picked as favorites were: Smith & Wesson Model 39 9mm single/double action waltun gribs, aluminum frame. Ruger Single action 357 4 5/8s barrel. Smith & Wesson model 17 K-22, double action 22 LR on a 38 weight frame. Interesting, I bought all these new over 50 years ago. good things don't change. What are your three favorites.

Bear, I too have a K-17 as well as a Ruger Blackhawk, but in 45 Colt/ACP. My third is a 1911 that I built for the first time 35 years ago. It's been through a couple of variations since, but the frame and guts are still the same. 788

STI 1911 Nitro 10
Beretta 92F Rossi 971 comp 4" .357 The big DE is a hoot to shoot for sure but I no longer shoot it well and it's heavy and bulky. My boy still loves it though and it's at the top of his list. |

My favorite to shoot is my K-22 model 17 S&W. It makes me look like a better shooter than I really am.
Next I would have to pick my 1911. Its just a classic. My third pick would be my model 19 S&W. It's a K frame .357 with a 4 inch barrel. In my opinion it's as close to the perfect revolver as was ever made. Wing master

Your question was "favorite 3 handguns".
I"d think a CCW gun while carried most will not necessarily be anyone's favorite gun. I don't think your picks are your daily carry pieces.

I was referring to bear's comment. My carry gun(s) are not my favorite handguns.
I remember your CZ 75 or maybe it was Jim's we saw one time.

Missed this first time around,
Favorite and first 44mag SBH, not a CCW at all and I don't really shoot it very often anymore. Ruger Security-Six 38sp (EDC for 30+yrs, currently replaced in EDC, by Taurus 38sp airweight) 1911 in 45auto (EDC for 20+yrs, replaced in that role, by Taurus 24/7 45auto, the one, I have on me most days) |
